It was a warm sunny day. Sally and her friends, Amanda and Brenda, were taking a hike through a forested area and enjoying the scenery.
“(huff huff) Sheesh Sally, think you can slow down a little?” said Brenda with a sarcastic smile.
Sally stopped in her tracks and looked back at her two friends with a smile.
“I don’t suppose I can ask you two to speed up?” asked Sally sarcastically.
Her two friends smiled sarcastically in reply as they were catching up.
“Well, we’re not as accustomed to this as you are,” replied Brenda. “I’m more than happy to go on a hike with you two, but was it really necessary that we had to leave our footwear in the car?”
“Ah come on Brenda,” said Sally encouragingly. “Barefoot hiking is fun. Enjoying the lovely scenery of the outdoors and the thrill of the journey while having the pleasant feel of the Earth beneath your feet, it’s really nice, isn’t it?”
“I will admit it’s not half bad. I just would have preferred to have my shoes and socks on or at least be able to take them with me in case,” said Brenda.
“Hopefully, you won’t need them. And besides, spending some time walking barefoot is good for you,” said Amanda.
“Correct,” replied Sally. “And don’t worry, the areas we’ll be going through aren’t too rough. So, it should be a comfortable and relaxing walk.”
“You see Brenda? No need to stress out. Now, come along you tenderfoot,” said Amanda playfully.
“Hey, I’m no tenderfoot,” replied Brenda with a competitive smile.
“Then don’t sound like one,” replied Amanda playfully.
The three girls laughed about it as they continued walking onward.
Several minutes later into the hike, they heard something off to the left and stopped.
“Hey, did you two hear that?” asked Brenda.
“Yeah, I heard it too,” replied Amanda.
They listened again. It sounded distressed and cried, “Jooolll… joooll!”
“That sounds like a joltik,” said Sally. “And it sounds like it’s in trouble.”
“Let’s investigate,” said Brenda.
“Agreed,” replied Amanda.
They headed toward the source of the cry and soon came across it. It was a male joltik and it was slowly walking across the ground, a few of its legs limping.
“There it is,” said Brenda.
The joltik noticed them and tried to scramble away, crying in agony as he tried to move a few of his legs. He fell down, got up, and continued trying to run about two times.
“Whoa, we didn’t mean to startle you,” said Brenda.
The three walked over to him as he continued to try to run away, but collapsed to the ground.
Sally knelt down and gently petted him.
“Don’t be afraid little guy. We’re not going to hurt you,” said Sally gently.
The joltik started to calm down and quickly relaxed, enjoying the feeling of Sally petting him.
“The poor thing, it looks like it’s all alone out here,” said Brenda.
“And the situation is made even scarier for him, given his condition,” said Amanda before kneeling down next to Sally and inspecting Joltik’s legs. “It looks like he’s bruised up his legs.”
“Yowch, how did THAT happen?” asked Brenda.
“Joltik Joltik. Joltik Jolt,” said Joltik looked over to the top of a tree behind it.
“You were in that tree and fell out?” asked Sally.
“Joltik,” said Joltik as he nodded and then looked to a rock near the tree.
“Ah, and you hit a few of your legs on that rock on the way down, correct?” asked Amanda.
Joltik nodded.
“Dang, that had to hurt. I hope he’ll be O.K,” said Brenda.
“Don’t worry, he’ll be just fine,” said Amanda with a confident smile before taking off her backpack and placing on the ground.
She placed it on the ground, opened it, and removed some bandages and potions.
“Excellent,” cheered Brenda. “Just leave it to the group’s medic!”
Amanda took the potion and held it up to one of Joltik’s injured legs.
“Now, this might sting a little, but it should help relieve the pain quickly,” said Amanda before spraying.
Joltik cringed in pain for a second, but quickly relaxed and let Amanda finish spraying.
Amanda bandaged up the leg and continued the procedure with each injured leg while Sally sat beside Joltik and continued to comfort him.
“Alright, that should do it,” said Amanda as she finished bandaging and stood up.
She reached into her backpack, pulled out an oran berry, and lowered it to Joltik.
“Here, eat this. It’ll help you regain some energy,” said Amanda.
Amanda set the berry on the ground and Joltik ate away at it.
“Hey, Joltik also eat electricity, right?” asked Brenda, pulling a pokéball out of her pocket.
“Indeed they do, good idea Brenda,” said Sally.
“Then let’s do this. Flaffy, come on out!” shouted Brenda, tossing the pokéball into the air.
Flaffy emerged from the pokéball, cheering her name, and immediately dropped toward Brenda, embracing her in a hug.
“I’m glad to see you too Flaffy, but we need your help with something,” said Brenda, hugging Flaffy back.
“This little Joltik could use an energy boost. How about giving it a little electricity?”
Flaffy nodded and shot a small electro ball at Joltik.
Joltik shouted happily, pleased with the extra snack.
Flaffy stopped shortly afterward.
“How are you feeling now?” asked Sally.
“Joltik jolt,” said Joltik with a smile, limped over to Amanda, and affectionately rubbed against her foot.
She leaned down and petted him.
“Aww… you’re welcome little guy. Hopefully, your legs should feel better soon,” said Amanda.
A few seconds afterward, they heard the calls of joltik and galvantula and they were getting louder by the second.
“Joltik Joltik!” replied Joltik.
Within seconds, a group of galvantula and joltik came into view and approached them. Joltik limped over to them happily. Two of the galvantula and a few of the joltik affectionately nuzzled him.
“Aww… those must be his parents and siblings,” said Brenda.
“Maybe so,” replied Amanda.
“Galvantula?” asked the female galvantula, curious about what happened.
“Joltik, joltik joltik, joltik joltik jolt,” replied Joltik, telling her about his earlier predicament and how the three humans behind him helped him.
The two galvantula looked to the three girls and nodded in gratitude, with some of the other joltik cheering.
“You’re welcome,” replied Amanda happily. “Glad we could help out.”
“Joltik Joltik,” said Joltik to his siblings and friends.
They nodded and most of them scurried toward the girls.
They started crawling about the girls’ and Flaffy’s body.
“Awww… they like us,” said Sally, petting a few of them.
Brenda was a little shaky at first, but quickly calmed down and enjoyed their company.
The joltik on Flaffy were extremely happy as they enjoyed some of Flaffy’s static electricity. She didn’t mind though, she was happy to be of help to them.
The three girls continued to happily pet and talk with the Joltik on them, occasionally laughing when they scurried over ticklish areas or lightly scratched them with their fangs.
One of the joltik, still standing in front of the group of galvantula, was a mischievous one and decided to have a little fun. He shot spider web at the girls’ chests and ankles and caused them to fall on their behinds.
He and some of the other joltik moved to the now exposed soles and started crawling about on them.
All three girls and Flaffy laughed as the feet scurrying across their feet and the light scratching of their fangs tickled their feet. The joltik on Amanda’s feet really enjoyed watching her toes occasionally twitch.
“Eeeheeheeheehee! Please, please ahahahahaha! My tohohohohoes!” laughed Brenda happily as one joltik on each foot scurried around on her soles and another one on each foot scratched and tickled her toes.
Sally continued to laugh and said, “Hahahaving fun little onhuhuhuns?”
The joltik replied happily and continued their fun for another minute.
They later crawled off their new friends and helped remove the webbing from them.
“My friends and I are rather ticklish, aren’t we?” asked Sally playfully, wiggling her toes.
The joltik all nodded happily.
Sally picked one of them near her and held it in her hand.
“What about you? Are you ticklish?” asked Sally.
The joltik just shrugged, unsure of whether it was or not.
“Well, mind if we find out?” said Sally before tickling the joltik’s belly.
It instantly started laughing as it lied on its back and kicked its legs.
The other joltik took interest and walked over to the other two girls and Flaffy.
They happily joined in with Sally and gave each joltik a nice belly tickling.
After they finished up with this, the joltik returned to their galvantula parents and relatives, who were happy to see that they had fun.
“That was a whole lotta fun, thanks you guys,” said Brenda happily.
The galvantula and joltik cheered happily.
“Well then girls, shall we continue our hike?” asked Amanda.
“Alright, let’s get going,” replied Brenda.
“Bye everyone, enjoy the rest of your day!” said Sally as she, Amanda, Brenda, and Flaffy walked away, waving back to them.
The joltik and galvantula waved back and bid them farewell.
Brenda called Flaffy back to her pokéball, placed it back in her pocket and continued onward with her friends.
A few hours passed, they reached a nice, high lookout point and enjoyed the scenery for several minutes. Afterwards, they decided it was time to turn around and head back.
At a point during their walk back to the car, they noticed the sun setting.
“Beautiful, isn’t it? I think sunsets are just glorious, and this scenery makes it look that much greater,” said Brenda.
“I agree,” replied Amanda. “But, it also means that it’ll be dark soon. I’m not sure if we’ll make it back to the car by then.”
“Yeah, I think we’ll just have to camp out here for tonight and start again in the morning,” said Sally.
The three girls called their parents to notify them of their plans and started setting up sleeping bags afterwards. While they were getting them set up though, the joltik from before arrived and greeted them.
“Well well, it’s you again. Good to see you. Feeling better?” said Amanda.
Joltik nodded and moved his bandaged legs to show it.
“Excellent, I’m glad,” replied Amanda.
The group of galvantula and joltik from before also showed up, probably seeing where Joltik had run off to again.
“Joltik. Joltik Joltik Jolt. Joltik?” said Joltik to his parents.
They both nodded and Joltik cheered.
The group of joltik and galvantula used spider web to create three large webs that stretched between trees.
Joltik got the attention of the three girls and pointed over to the webs.
“Aww, how nice. They made us webs to sleep on tonight,” said Sally.
“How thoughtful, but you didn’t need to do that for us,” said Brenda.
The Pokémon just smiled.
“Well then, it looks like our beds for tonight have already been set up,” said Amanda. “Now, to pass a little time until later.”
The three girls and group of pokémon set up a campfire and spent time until dark telling stories and listening to Sally play music on her flute, which attracted other pokémon to listen to its melody. When it got dark, they put out the campfire and each jumped backwards onto their respectable webs. The galvantula laid down on the ground in front of them while the joltik joined the girls on the webs.
“Good night everyone,” said Sally as she yawned and everyone soon fell asleep.

(The next morning)

Sally awoke slowly from the warmth of the sun. As she yawned and stretched, she felt something on her foot. She looked down at her feet and noticed one of the joltik still sleeping on her foot’s ball and toes. She smiled and slowly tilted her toes back and forth.
“Wakey wakey little guy,” said Sally gently.
The joltik slowly awoke and greeted Sally by affectionately rubbing against her foot.
Amanda and Brenda also began to awaken as well.
“Morning you two,” said Sally.
“Ah, up already, eh Sally? Well morning to you too,” said Amanda.
“Thanks,” replied Sally before starting to chuckle. “By the way, nice new bellybutton.”
“Huh?” asked Amanda before looking down to her belly and seeing a joltik sleeping over her bellybutton.
All three girls laughed.
“Well, it does look nice on me,” joked Amanda. “But, I prefer my old innie than this new outie.”
“It’s entirely up to you,” said Brenda. “But hey, maybe I can use this for an idea of a new outfit I can design.”
Soon after, the rest of the joltik and galvantula awakened and helped the three off the webs. Packing up their belongings, the three girls continued onward to the car.
“Bye everyone, thanks for the everything!” said Amanda.
“Maybe we’ll see you all again sometime!” said Sally.
The three girls waved goodbye and so did the joltik and galvantula.
After reaching Sally’s car, the three headed home, satisfied with their hike.

The End
Sally and her two friends, Brenda and Amanda, are out enjoying a barefoot hike when they find an injured joltik. After helping it out and watching it reunite with its cluster, they get treated to a nice day, night, and morning by the grateful and friendly pokémon.
